Luisa Lamadrid de Poo works diligently to build a culture of life by promoting the dignity of the human person from conception to natural death.
She works together with the USCCB Secretariat of Laity, Marriage, Family Life and Youth and the USCCB Secretariat of Pro-Life Activities by implementing the standards of the former, and implementing the USCCB Pastoral Plan for Pro-Life Activities of the latter. By implementing the pastoral plans of each, she coordinates the education and instruction of Catholics and the general public on life issues, and oversees diocesan programs, initiatives and resources related to the ongoing catechesis and spiritual formation for sacramental marriage and Christian family living.
Luisa has spent much of her life heavily involved in helping the Catholic community. She has earned multiple educational degrees including a master's in Theology from St. Mary's University in San Antonio. She is also a clinical psychologist.
