Following a career in Finance, John joined the Diocese as Associate Director of the Office of Restorative Justice Ministry. John is a CPA and earned a master's in Tax Accounting degree at the University of New Orleans. He is also a graduate of the Diocesan Institute of Ecclesial Ministry, a comprehensive 4-year faith formation program of the Diocese of Austin.
John conducts Catholic service programs in prison and jail units in the Diocese, and advises and coordinates other volunteer teams in their ministry outreach programs to the incarcerated, the formerly incarcerated, and their families. He is a Certified Volunteer Chaplain’s Assistant at the Texas Department of Criminal Justice’s Travis State Jail.
John and his wife attend Emmaus Parish in Lakeway, at which he chairs the parish’s Criminal Justice Ministry and its Finance Council. He also coordinates the parish’s lector ministry and serves as a Mass Coordinator and an extraordinary minister of holy Communion.
