Rev. Harry Dean

Fr. Harry begins his ministry as the new chaplain today, August 1st. Fr. Harry was ordained a priest for our diocese on June 1,1996 by Bishop John McCarthy at St. Mary Cathedral. He just finished serving six years as chaplain for the inmates and corrections officers in Gatesville and before that was the Vicar for Priests from 2008-2015. He also served the Communications Office for the Diocese of Austin and at Christ the King Parish in Belton; St. Catherine of Siena Parish; St. John Neumann Parish; St. Louis Parish, all in Austin, as well as St. Williams in Round Rock. I think Fr. Harry’s gifts and desire to be our new chaplain will be an impressive changing of the guards. We are grateful for his “yes” to the priesthood and for saying “yes” to Bishop Joe’s invitation to be our new chaplain.
