June brings us to a beautiful place on our faith journey, with three liturgical celebrations that offer rich theological insights into the presence of God in our lives... the Ascension of the Lord, Pentecost and the Solemnity of Corpus Christi.
Join us as we discuss the five points of the kerygma and how they are an essential part of our discipleship journey. Our presenter will be Deacon Ralph Poyo of New Evangelization Ministries. Cost is $20 per person. The day will include lunch and an opportunity for Mass.
Each year during the month of May, the Administration for Community Living announces the theme for Older Americans Month. The theme for 2025 is “Flip the Script on Aging” which focuses on transforming how society perceives, talks about, and approaches aging. It encourages individuals and communities to challenge stereotypes and dispel misconceptions. Adult Protective Services joins the Administration for Community Living, Texas Health and Human Services Commission, and several local senior network agencies across the state to highlight Older Americans Month (OAM).
An estimated 5.9 million people 60 or older live in Texas, according to the Texas Demographic Center. As this number increases, so does the need for older adults to form meaningful relationships and social connections. Gov. Greg Abbott issued a proclamation reminding Texans of the responsibility to care for older adults.
ATTENTION: The Catholic Diocese of Austin is trying to reach Jacqueline Deanne Bess concerning an important matter regarding their rights in the church.
Tomorrow, we celebrate Mother’s Day; a day to give thanks to God for all mothers, those who continue to care for us and mothers who have passed from this life into God. We also give thanks to God for mothers of adopted children and those who stand-in for mothers when we need to know the kindness and presence of a mother.

Our hearts are filled with joy and gratitude for our new Holy Father, Pope Leo XIV. In God’s good providence and with the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, the Cardinals have provided the Church with a new shepherd. We ask God to fill him with grace and wisdom to sanctify the Church in unity, teach with truth and mercy, and lead us to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ by our lives.
