I ask the faithful of the Diocese of Austin to join me in praying for the safety of the people of Ukraine. May world leaders act swiftly to end all hostility.
Let us pray for our brothers and sisters of Ukraine who are suffering with the uncertainty of this tragic conflict. Many people, including children, mothers, fathers, and the elderly, live in fear of violence that will bring hardship and suffering due to this war. Deaths, displacements, hunger, and homelessness are the realities with which they live.
We ask the Holy Spirit to guide leaders to seek wisdom and justice so that all people can live in security and peace. We implore the prayers and intercession of our Blessed Mother seeking her protection over our world.
