Plenary Indulgence

Receive a plenary indulgence by adhering to the four foundation conditions (above) and visit & pray at a Pilgrimage Site. Your prayer can consist of one or more of the following:

• Mass
• Or, a celebration of the Word of God
• Or, the Liturgy of the Hours
• Or, the Via Crucis
• Or, the Marian Rosary
• Or, the recitation of the Akathist hymn
• Or, a penitential celebration, which ends with the individual confessions of the penitents, as established in the Rite of Penance (form II).
• Or, Eucharistic adoration and meditation, concluding with the Our Father, the Profession of Faith and invocations to Mary, the Mother of God (In addition to prayer before an exposed host, Eucharistic adoration also refers to any prayer in front of a tabernacle occupied by a consecrated host)

• Participate in popular missions, spiritual exercises, or formation activities on the documents of the Second Vatican Council and the Catechism of the Catholic Church;
• Or, visit the sick, prisoners, lonely elderly people, disabled people; 
• Or, abstain, at least for one day of the week from futile distractions, from superfluous consumption, (such as watching TV or playing video games) and donating to the poor or voluntary activities that are of service to the community

• Recite the Our Father, the Profession of Faith, and other prayers in conformity with the objectives of the Holy Year, in their homes or wherever they are confined, offering up their sufferings.
