NEW CHRISTUS VIVIT AWARD NCCS Scholarship Donor Recognition Award The National Catholic Committee on Scouting is proud to announce the new Christus Vivit Award to recognize NCCS Scholarship donors. The Latin name, meaning - Christ is Alive, is derived from Pope Francis' landmark exhortation on youth. The focal point of the awards' design is the compass cross symbolizing a person’s moral compass. When headed true north, toward Christ, individuals know they are on the right path by choosing to serve others. The cross is surrounded by an eternal circle inscribed with the words Christus Vivit and NCCS Scholarships. The blue and white ribbon symbolizes the colors of Mother Teresa’s sari habit. To receive the award, donors must make a donation of $5,000 or more to the NCCS Scholarship Fund. Gifts may be made over a two-year period.
