To support the vital ministry of catechesis through the education and formation of parish catechists and ministry leaders.
To implement the directives of the Diocesan Pastoral Plan through a consistent, professional and pastoral response to the needs of deaneries, parishes, and language/ethnic groups.
At this Mass, Vicar General Rev. James Misko will celebrate and recognize scouts from Scouts BSA, Girl Scouts, and American Heritage Girls who have earned a religious emblem or award in the previous year. Eagle Scouts and Gold Award and Stars and Stripes awardees are invited to attend.

All scouts, scouting families and scout leaders are invited to join Fr. Will Rooney and the Diocesan Catholic Committee on Scouting for a 5-mile hike around Lake Georgetown on our journey to be apostles of faith. The day will begin at 10 a.m. Bring your own lunch and water bottle.
The DCCS Committee meets quarterly to assess the needs of our Catholic Scouting population and to plan age-appropriate events to foster a deeper appreciation of our faith. In addition, the committee sponsors adult training for religious emblem counselor roles.
