Call to Action

Rooted in the Gospel message and based on Catholic Social Teaching, catholics are call to act with and on behalf of the vulnerable and oppressed in society and advocate per the U.S. Catholic Bishops’ position on immigration reform. This section is dedicated to provide parishioners with ways to participate in actions that facilitate living in solidarity with our immigrant sisters and brothers.

  • The Humanitarian Respite Center in the Rio Grande Valley
    • This center provides refugees compassionate care via a safe environment, legal orientation and general information, a warm meal and water, hygiene products and a warm shower, a clean change of clothes, temporary shelter, medical supplies and assistance if needed and transportation services.
