A Filipino Mass is celebrated on the first Saturday of the month at 4 p.m. at St. Peter the Apostle Parish in Austin. Our Lady's Maronite Catholic Parish in Austin will celebrate St. Sharbel's Feast Day on July 20 beginning at 10 a.m. The day begins with Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, followed by Mass in Spanish at noon, then anointing with St. Sharbel's oil followed by Adoration, at 4:30 p.m. The rosary will be prayed and the Divine Liturgy will be celebrated. St. Sharbel's souvenirs and blessed gifts will be available, and food will be available.

On Monday, July 22nd, St. Margaret Mary Parish will host ‘Jesus Heals’, a healing conference led by Fr. Hayden Williams OFMCap. Father Williams is an itinerant preacher of the Gospel within the Order of Capuchin Friars Minor. This two-hour program begins with Mass at 6:30 p.m., followed by a talk exploring God's love, Eucharistic Adoration, and special prayers for healing and blessing of the sick. This year’s theme is “Praying as a Family,” with a presentation from featured speaker Deacon Ralph Poyo. All families in the diocese are invited to attend.
Young adults (post-college) are invited to join Father Ryan Higdon for the Frassati adventure retreat in Colorado on July 28-Aug. 3. Inspired by Blessed Pier Giorgio Frassati, the group will spend a week together encountering Christ in his creation with his sacraments. The group will enjoy the beautiful Colorado outdoors with plenty of hiking (including a 14er!), other outdoor activities, daily prayer, and Mass.
This workshop will present an overview of civil law as it affects ministry in the Church. It will discuss tort law; law of negligence; the rights and responsibilities of bishops, parishes, pastors, pastoral councils and boards; the rights and responsibilities of DREs, Youth Ministers as well as other parish sponsored ministries; supervision of parish programs and Catholic Schools; and the rights and responsibilities of students and parents. (4 hours) This will be an in-person class; there is not a virtual option at this time.
