Participants at the February Town Hall meetings had the opportunity to consider the important issues facing the Diocese of Austin and to express their hopes and dreams for the future of the Catholic Church of Central Texas. Discovery Phase
February to April 2008- Town Hall Meetings – Six held at sites throughout the diocese
- Web site input for those who cannot attend the Town Hall Meetings
- Online survey – particularly focused on Young Adults
- Analysis of Key Demographic Data
- Interviews with local and civic leaders
- Summary of Data Input will be made available
Key Constituencies Input
April to May 2008- 15 key constituencies throughout the diocese ( departments, committees, etc...) will submit proposals for the plan
Formulation of the Plan
June to Sept 2008- Coordinating Committee (chaired by Bishop Aymond) will study all input
- First draft of the plan will be created
- Draft will be circulated widely for feedback
- Revision of plan based on feedback
- Bishop gives final approval in Fall 2008
