The University Catholic Center is the Catholic Campus Ministry at the University of Texas - Austin. This large and active faith community consists primarily of University Students, Faculty, Staff and Alumni, and a relatively small non-student community of families. We are seeking an administrative assistant / receptionist to serve as front line friendly face of our community's outreach to students, as well as coordinating the scheduling of the many programs, groups and ministries that happen here.
Responsibilities include providing administrative support to clergy, business administrator and pastoral staff, greeting visitors, handling phone calls, sorting mail and packages, and other front-line receptionist tasks.
In addition, this position requires expertise in managing online (e.g. Google) calendars and cloud-based apps, facility with social media platforms (FaceBook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.), publication software, and full Microsoft Office suite.
Applicants must have a demonstrated ability to work with frequent interruptions while managing multiple tasks. Should be comfortable working in a Catholic environment, and have some familiarity with Catholic church structures, procedures, and mission.
Minimum 1 year administrative experience, Associates degree, facility with written and spoken English. Must pass a background check and diocesan EIM certification.
