The Serra Club of Austin welcomes you and invites you to learn more about us and to consider joining us in our mission and ministry. Serra International is an international organization of Catholic laymen and laywomen. Our mission and ministry is to foster and promote vocations through prayer, awareness, affirmation and support.

The Serra Club of Austin was established November 3, 1948.  The Serra Club works with Bishop Gregory Aymond and the diocesan Vocation Director, Fr. Mike Sis. Here we list only a few of our programs to foster and promote vocations:

  • annual Seminarian Dinner
  • monthly Membership Luncheon with guest speaker
  • annual Valentine Luncheon with the Bishop

In addition, the Serra club works closely with these parish communities in developing parish vocation activities of prayer, awareness, affirmation and support.

  • St. Vincent de Paul Parish in Austin
  • St. Louis Parish in Austin

Our Mission

As Serra International is the lay vocation arm of the church, our mission is to foster and affirm vocations to the ministerial priesthood and vowed religious life in the United States, and through this ministry foster our members’ common Catholic faith.
