The grounds: Cedarbrake is located on 32 acres of naturally wooded beauty, ten minutes from Lake Belton. Numerous paths for trail walking; meditation spots such as the St. Francis fountain and pool, the outdoor Stations of the Cross and the Beatitude Tree; an outdoor pavilion; a playing court for volleyball and badminton; swings, picnic tables, and a gazebo all provide a peaceful setting for retreat and renewal. A large labyrinth is situated directly behind the Conference Center.
Cedarbrake's chapel and library are open every day. The public is invited to the Wednesday 5 p.m. Mass held in the chapel, and to come and walk the grounds any day.
Cedarbrake welcomes individual retreatants. Spiritual direction, if desired, can be arranged. Reservations for individual private retreats are dependent upon available space. Anyone interested in making a private retreat at Cedarbrake should contact the Cedarbrake office as far in advance as possible.
