A Prayer for the Diocese of Austin’s Planning Efforts
Lord, we, the people of the Diocese of Austin, come to you with the awareness that we are a young community in your church.
We seek your wisdom as we look to the future. Give us the courage to use the gifts you have given us in a spirit of generosity and stewardship.
Let us rejoice in our opportunities for growth and not be discouraged by our growing pains.
Let us cherish each other, invite each other to share the gifts we have, and embrace the richness of our diverse cultures.
We ask this so that together, we may continue the mission of Christ in the world today and effectively prepare for the growth of your kingdom in the future.
Father, we ask this through Jesus Christ your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever. Amen.
