Strategic Pastoral Plan of the Austin Diocese
Plan Components
The Strategic Pastoral Plan for the Catholic Church in Central Texas examines several basic components. These are: Priest Availability and Vocations; Family Life Ministries; Social Concerns Ministries; Hispanic Ministry; Parish Religious Education; Formation and Evangelization; Catholic Schools; Diocesan Staff; Facilities and Stewardship.
The teams for each component:
- began with some basic goals for the future;
- assessed the current realities and forecast likely scenarios for the future;
- compared those realities to ideals identified in church teachings;
- identified ways to move toward the desired goals;
- mapped out first steps toward those interventions and goals.
Future steps will be developed as the Plan guides us over the coming years
