Cedarbrake Catholic Retreat Center

Cedarbrake is a non profit retreat and renewal center owned and supported by the Diocese of Austin.

Cedarbrake seeks to further the spiritual and intellectual development of God’s people by:

  • sponsoring a variety of retreats and programs developed by Cedarbrake staff
  • hosting retreats and conferences sponsored by parishes or other diocesan groups
  • offering private retreat rooms for individuals

Scholarships are available for anyone called by God to attend a Cedarbrake-sponsored retreat.

Directions to Cedarbrake

From Interstate 35, take the 6th Avenue exit (#294B) in Belton (also marked as the exit for University of Mary Hardin Baylor). Turn (left) west on 6th Avenue until it intersects with Highway 317 (North Main Street). Turn right at the light on Highway 317. Cedarbrake is 3.4 miles on the west (left) of Highway 317. The entrance is marked by a large sign.

Days of Reflection

All Days of Reflection begin with light refreshments and registration at 8:30 a.m.

First session begins promptly at 9 a.m. The day concludes at 2:30 p.m.

If you wish to stay a night in conjunction with the Day of Reflection, you can call or e-mail to reserve a room at a discounted rate. Please call in advance for room availability.

Weekend Retreats

All weekend retreats begin on Friday evening and end on Sunday before noon.

Meals are provided Saturday and Sunday morning.

All bed and bath linens are provided.

Personal items such as soap, shampoo, hair dryers, etc. are not provided.

Reservations for all Cedarbrake-sponsored retreats may be made by:

Cash, checks and money orders are welcome. Credit card payments may be made online.

Please note

Reservations must be made no later than 24 hours in advance.

Cancellations must be made 48 hours in advance or a portion of your payment will be retained to pay our costs.

Usage of facilities is determined by Cedarbrake on the basis of the size of the group and availability of the facilities.
