Mon, Feb 6 07:30 PM Billings Method Class (3 of 3) - St. Thomas More Parish This is a Billings Method Class (how the Billings Method works). The class starts at 7:30 PM and last about one hour. These classes will be held at St. Thomas More Catholic Church (unless otherwise stipulated.) Reservations are required. The complete course costs $100 and is comprised of 3 classes held over a three-six week period. The class is held in a group setting and in one-one discussions with each couple. This is a series that consists of three classes spaced about one month apart where couples will learn how to identify the three common signs of fertility and infertility, understand how to interpret these signs to determine the fertile and infertile times of the female cycle, discover how to apply the Sympto-Thermal Method of NFP during special situations, such as stress and coming off hormonal birth control and know how to use the Sympto-Thermal Method of NFP to postpone or achieve a pregnancy. The course fee is $135 for marterials and services, and there are no ongoing costs to couples.

Fri, Feb 10 to Sat, Feb 11 07:00 PM Annulment Writing Workshop The Austin Diocese will host an Annulment Writing Workshop Feb. 10 from 7 to 9 p.m. and Feb. 11 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the diocesan Pastoral Center in Austin. The workshop will give participants a step-by-step explanation of annulment procedures, including how to tell one's story and how to find witnesses to back up one's story. By the time the workshop is complete, participants will have written a first draft of their annulment case. The sessions incorporate prayer breaks throughout with an emphasis on healing the pain that often surfaces during the annulment process. The cost of the workshop is $30. The PREPARE has a specially-designed version for Catholic couples and is available in both English and Spanish. This training, given by a certified PREPARE-ENRICH trainer, will also cover the ENRICH instrument, for couples who are already married. This instrument can be used in marriage mentoring and other marriage enrichment approaches.

Mon, Feb 20 Total Consecration To Jesus Through Mary February 20 begins the 33 days of preparatory prayers for “Total Consecration to Jesus through Mary” that continue until March 24. Each day of prayer, representing one year in the life of Christ, is to be done privately in our own homes using the consecration preparation books (contact local Legion of Mary for a book). After these 33 days of prayers, all are invited to make or renew their consecration at Mass on the Annunciation of the Lord. The PREPARE has a specially-designed version for Catholic couples and is available in both English and Spanish. This training, given by a certified PREPARE-ENRICH trainer, will also cover the ENRICH instrument, for couples who are already married. This instrument can be used in marriage mentoring and other marriage enrichment approaches.
