The Friday E-Pistle (Oct. 17, 2014)
A message from Bishop Vásquez
I would like to thank all the priests of the Diocese of Austin for participating in our annual convocation last week. In addition, I would like to thank Father Harry Dean, Vicar for Priests, and the Priestly Life and Formation Committee, for their leadership in planning and organizing the convocation.
Please consider using the following meditation for All Souls’ Day (Nov. 2):
- Jesus says in today’s Gospel that he “will not reject anyone who comes to me” and we will be raised on the last day. Do you pray regularly for the souls in purgatory? Pray for them today.
