Pastoral Plan: We want to hear from you

The Diocese of Austin is in the process of developing a new Pastoral Plan. The plan will guide the mission and direction of our diocese for the next five years. We need your input to better respond to the pastoral needs of the people in our diocese. The planning team is hosting two more English listening sessions and two Spanish sessions in February. During the listening sessions, participants reflect on where we are now, what could the future hold, and everyone shares ideas about how we can become a Church of joy, compassion, mercy – a Church of vibrant faith, nurturing worship and strong witness. Make certain your parish is represented at one of the sessions. These listening sessions are open to everyone.

Reflection question

Gospel Meditation

Please consider using the following meditation for the Sixth Sunday in Ordinary Time (Feb. 16):

  • In today’s Gospel, Jesus urges us to be honest with one another when he says, “Let your ‘Yes’ mean ‘Yes,’ and your ‘No’ mean ‘No.’” Where is God showing you the need to be more honest with yourself and others?
