With the aid of today’s technology, life moves at a rapid pace. News breaking events from all corners of the world are broadcast live in the palms of our hands; businesses are able to service more clients in a shorter amount of time; multitasking has become the norm for daily living.


Now, think about the number of times when delayed planes or long grocery lines have caused discomfort and anxieties because it has slowed us down.


Although the days leading up to Christmas may seem busy, Advent is a season in which we are called to wait with joyful expectation! There is a yearning for deliverance as first expressed by Israelite slaves in Egypt. It is the cry of those who have experienced sin and injustice and yet who have hope.  It is the hope and promise of a Savior - the Jesus who was, who is, and who is to come.
